# Reflow 2 FAQ

> Common questions about licensing, projects, languages, and training

Answers to the questions we're asked most often about Reflow 2. If your question isn't here, reach
out through the live chat on the [NiagaraMods website](https://niagaramodules.com/contact) or email
[support@niagaramodules.com](mailto:support@niagaramodules.com).

## General

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is the upgrade cost for an existing license?">
    Free. Every current license upgrades to Reflow 2 at no additional charge.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What are the system requirements?">
    Reflow 2 requires Niagara 4.10 or later and runs on most Niagara hardware, including Web
    Supervisors, JACE 8000 and 9000 controllers, and EDGE-10 devices. On the browser side, Reflow
    supports the modern evergreen browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

    See [Requirements](/getting-started/requirements) for the full detail.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Reflow support Niagara 5?">
    We intend to support Niagara 5 once it's available. We can't commit to specifics until we know
    more about the platform.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where can I find more information?">

## Projects

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is a project?">
    A project contains all of the content that makes up your Reflow site. You can create as many
    projects as you need, and split content up by customer, site, campus, or building — whichever
    fits how you work. Assign projects to Niagara users and roles from the Reflow Config View.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I link between projects?">
    Yes, you can link from project to project, the link to the target project will only be
    visible/work if the user has access to it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How does the Draft and Publish system work?">
    Your work saves automatically as a draft, which end-users won't see. You choose when to publish
    your draft from the Config View. You can keep working in further drafts while the previously
    published content is available to end-users.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What does it cost to add more projects?">
    There are no limits on the amount of unpublished projects that can be created and built. The
    Reflow Standard license supports up to 3 published projects at one time. Additional capacity for
    more published projects can be purchased. See the [Reflow website](https://niagaramodules.com) for
    pricing.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do device counts work across multiple projects?">
    Your full device count is available in every project. For example, if you have a Standard License with 50 devices, you can use 50 devices in each of up to 3 published projects.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Features

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Can several people work in the Config View at once?">
    Yes. You and your colleagues can work on the same project together, or on different projects at
    the same time. Multi-user support is on by default, with no settings to enable.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there a dark mode?">
    Yes. Both the Config View and the Content View support light and dark modes natively. Every theme
    supports both, and the color pickers let you set a separate value for each.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is the plugin system?">
    Reflow is built on a modular plugin architecture. Plugins deliver optional functionality — new UI
    elements, data sources, map tiles, and more — so you install only what a project needs.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do themes work?">
    Themes are a special kind of plugin. Add one to an application and it becomes available in every
    project, where you can assign it to specific users or roles. Every theme supports both light and
    dark modes.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Languages

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Are both the Config View and Content View translated?">
    Yes. The entire application supports internationalization. You can deliver content in multiple
    languages and work in the Config View in your own preferred language.

    Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish,
    Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who provided the translations?">
    Translations come from a mix of human and AI work, and each carries one of three confidence
    levels:

    | Level | Meaning |
    | - | - |
    | 1 | Generated by AI |
    | 2 | Corrected by a human |
    | 3 | Translated by a building automation expert fluent in the language |

    Send corrections to [support@niagaramodules.com](mailto:support@niagaramodules.com).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I provide my own translations?">
    Yes. The localization files live in the station file system and open in any text editor or
    localization tool. You can also provide content translations directly in the Config View. If you
    notice an issue in any of our provided translations, please reach out to
    [support@niagaramodules.com](mailto:support@niagaramodules.com) so that we can correct it for all
    users.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is right-to-left text supported?">
    Not in the initial release. We intend to add right-to-left support in a future version.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if my language isn't supported?">
    Request it through the live chat on our website or at
    [support@niagaramodules.com](mailto:support@niagaramodules.com).
  </Accordion>

## Training and certification

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do I need a new technical certification?">
    No. Certified system integrators don't need to retake a class to keep their Reflow Technical
    Certification. We offer a free bridge class instead, so you can get up to speed without
    revisiting material you've already covered.

    New students receive updated course materials that cover Reflow 2 throughout.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is the bridge class?">
    A free class for anyone holding a Reflow Technical Certification. It focuses on what's new and
    what's changed, and skips the core topics already covered by the original certification training.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I sign up for the bridge class?">
    Certified users receive an email announcing registration and the available dates, and sign-up
    opens on our website.
  </Accordion>
